Why is the Quebec efile transmission of my corporate return being interrupted?

DT Max might stop working when using efile to transmit your CO-17 return. This usually happens when the software attempts to retrieve the Acknowledgement file for the return but is unable to do so. This error is caused by the acknowledgement file (DT&&ACK.000) which can be found in the "E_IN" directory of your clients database.

Even if the software stops working, the return is sent to Revenu Quebec. Unfortunately since DT Max is unable to read the acknowledgement file, you will have to use a different method in order to check whether or not your corporate return has been acknowledged. To do so:

    1) Open DT Max and go to the client list
    2) Right-click on the client in question
    3) Select "Browse audit trail for this client"
    4) Make sure that the message "CO-17 efile accepted" shows up in the recent events.

Also, in order to prevent other problems, we recommend deleting the files that are in the "E_IN" directory of your clients database after each transmission to the Quebec government. For instance, if your database is in the "C:\DTMax\" directory, you should delete the files found under "C:\DTMax\E_IN" after each transmission to the Quebec government.
